Quick Reviews
Mark I love and hate this album for distinctly different reasons. An imperfect 10 because of how well both parts co-exist.
Chris The uncompromising concept – a concept album in its purest form.
Alex Sonically speaking, a step back compared to TDSOTM/WYWH to my ears but still a fascinating album songwriting wise. Agree with Kevin’s statement.
Kevin They’ve done what few can – take some long songs, put them together and not make the album seem excessively long.
Michael The whole production is fascinating, the way each of the sounds interplay with the music. David Gilmour’s finest work.

Love It or Flush It Legend
L = Love. As many as you like.
F = Flush. Must flush at least one track per album.
B = Buy. Purchased for the ultimate LTS “Best Of” playlist for each of us. One per album.
T = Terminate. Should have never even existed. One per album.
The Rules
Each of us must Love, Flush, Buy, and Terminate AT LEAST ONE track on an album, no matter how great or terrible the album is. Whoever wins the “7 for the Buy” section gets an extra Buy or Terminate to use on the album. Because Chris hosts this section and thus cannot win, he gets an extra Buy or Terminate every 4 albums.
Album Information
Animals is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 21 January 1977[2] through Harvest and Columbia Records. It was recorded at the band’s Britannia Row Studios in London throughout 1976, and was produced by the band. The album continues the longform compositions that made up their previous works, including Wish You Were Here (1975). The album received positive reviews from critics and was commercially successful, reaching number 2 in the UK and number 3 in the USA.
Animals is both a progressive rock album and a concept album, focusing on the social-political conditions of mid-1970s Britain, and was a change from the style of their earlier work. Tension within the band during production later culminated in keyboardist Richard Wright being fired two years later. The album’s cover shows an inflatable pig floating between two chimneys of Battersea Power Station, conceived by the band’s bassist and lead songwriter Roger Waters, and was designed by long-time collaborator Storm Thorgerson. The band released no singles from the record, but promoted it through the In the Flesh tour. Waters’ agitation with audiences during this tour inspired their next record, The Wall.
