Mark Absolutely great album if you love this kind of stuff like I do, but if you don’t it won’t convince you otherwise one bit. A master class in using key changes in pop songs.
Chris Second half lacks the meat and weight that the first half brings to the table. Was great revisiting this album and remembering some of the songs on here.
Kevin They came out on fire and quickly drove down the field for an opening game touchdown. The second half started with a fumble and an interception. Luckily, the first half of the record was just that good.

The Rules
Each of us must Love, Flush, Buy, and Terminate AT LEAST ONE track on an album, no matter how great or terrible the album is. Whoever wins the “7 for the Buy” section gets an extra Buy or Terminate to use on the album. Because Chris hosts this section and thus cannot win, he gets an extra Buy or Terminate every 4 albums.
Album Information
Mike + The Mechanics is the debut album by the Genesis bassist and guitarist Mike Rutherford‘s band Mike + The Mechanics in 1985. The album reached number 26 on the Billboard 200 album charts and had three hit singles. “Silent Running“, featuring lead vocals by Paul Carrack, and the uptempo “All I Need Is a Miracle“, featuring lead vocals by Paul Young, both reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at numbers 6 and 5 respectively, with the former also peaking at number 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The third single off the album, “Taken In“, was a lesser hit, reaching No. 32 on the Hot 100 and No. 7 on the Adult Contemporary chart.[2] “Silent Running” and “All I Need is a Miracle” were also hits in the UK, reaching numbers 21 and 53 in the UK Singles Chart respectively.[3]
